Revlon - Super Lustrous Electric Chrome Lipgloss

Ok, yes, I know this is a relatively old collection now seeing as how the second Spiderman movie was realeased ages ago & that's what this collection is inspired by. But, I've never actually seen them in store until today, and they were on sale too! Yay! Still expensive though at $16 a piece. They were just so eye catching though, I had to have them.

There were three colours to choose from - Killer Watt [Pink], Electro Shock [Blue] & Sparks Fly [Red]. I bought Killer Watt & Electro Shock as I just have too many red glosses and lipsticks, thought I'd try something a bit different. 

Look how sparkly the formula is! Excuse my less than awesome photography skills there, I'll try to get a nicer photo tomorrow. I don't know if you can really see it, but both lipglosses have a bit of a colour shift. Both the pink & blue glosses, when tilted just right, have more of a purple undertone that becomes really noticeable. Reminds me of a few holographic nail polishes I have. 

The formula is quite thin for both, and quite sticky feeling. Unlike some previous 'glittery' glosses I've tried, these ones don't have that gritty, furry feel, it's completely smooth. I really like Killer Watt, it's a lovely colour. As expected, Electro Shock does make me look a bit oxygen starved, that's for sure. But I think both colours would look amazing layered over some lipstick or a lip tint.

It is definitely a good idea to polish & prime your lips before applying this particular lipgloss because the formula does tend to gather in any cuts or generally chapped areas. So make sure to use a good lip scrub and apply a primer, if you're not going to apply these glosses over another product/colour.

Overall, this is a nice product with two very striking colours. Not the most amazing products I've ever tried but they deliver a good amount of shine. I don't know what the availability is like for this particular collection is instore because it was part of a limited edition collection. But I know places like Amazon & Ebay have a few for sale if they take your fancy.
