Tony Moly - Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm & Blackhead Out Oil Gel

I went on a little spending spree the other day and managed to buy the Tony Moly Egg Pore smoothing balm! I reviewed the "pore-melting" egg pack ages ago here, so I was excited to add this to my collection. Plus it's super cute, I love how this egg pack is all shiny & gold, very pretty.

I don't know why, but I thought this egg would contain a sort of gel cream or something like the blackhead-out oil egg. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's actually a balm that you put on under your foundation to minimise the appearance of your pores.

Yeah I don't know why I decided to take the photos in my garden, it was nice & Summery I guess! Anyway, there's a photo of the egg's contents. As I said before, it's a balm that smooths over pores so that your makeup looks a bit more flawless. To be honest, I think this is a great dupe for products like Benefit's Porefessional. It's along the lines of 'magic blur' items but makeup goes on so much more neatly over this smoothing balm, no streaky finish. 

Personally, I prefer my tube of Porefessional but it is quite expensive here in Australia, so this is a great everyday alternative.

Purchased: $16.95. I actually paid way too much for this because it was actually in-store and I get easily wowed by the convenience of just grabbing it off the shelf. It can definitely be found cheaper online.

I'm back to report on the Tony Moly Pore Egg - Blackhead Out Oil Gel. This product looked perfect for me as I have very oily skin and my nose is prone to blackheads and generally unsightly pores. The description on the Egg Pore's box says that it will 'melt blackheads' and tighten pores. Gross yet intriguing! 

When you rub it in it turns white because it's 'mixing with sebum', not sure why that's so important to point out but it is quite satisfying. It has a really fresh, lemon-y scent, it smells so good! After use though, my nose was pretty red and agitated looking but I'm just going to put that down to the actual application of the gel, not the ingredients. My pores looked a bit smaller & my face smelled citrus-y, but apart from that, there's not much else to comment on.
